Moose on the Loose?

Okay, I have this obsession will all things moose. I really am hoping to see one while we're on our cruise Sept. 2010. Any suggestions on the best excursion or place to see them?

If you're on a one-way, the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center between Seward and Anchorage is the only guaranteed spot ( http://awcc.org/moose.html ). You have a small chance of seeing one at a great distance along the Chilkat River at Haines (near Skagway). And that's about it unless you get extremely lucky - almost all of my moose photos were taken east of Fairbanks.

No, we're on a 7 day round trip from Seattle.

We got to see them as mentioned above, but we did see about 4 females all standing at or in small lakes driving from Seward to Anchorage at 7am in the morning. Good luck I'm also all about the moose they are awesome! Karon:)

Have never seen a moose on our three cruises. Have seen moose (several times) on both our land trips. I think your best bet would be to travel interior. Consider changing to a one-way and add some time on land?
