best Miami airport hotel

We're flying into Miami from the west coast and want to spend one night near the airport (we get in about 5:30 pm) and then the next morning rent a car and drive out to Key West for a few days and then return the car to the airport and taxi to the Cruise ship.

Any Miami airport hotel suggestions? I've been reading the reviews on the trip adviser and got mixed reviews. Is the Hilton noisy? (I'm not a big fan of airplane noise all night) We would enjoy nice grounds and a pool but it's only for one night and peace and quiet may be more important.

We've stayed at the Sofitel.....beautiful hotel . . .the rooms are very well sound proofed...we were able to see the runway, but never heard a thing!

I agree...the Sofitel is perfect for what you are looking for. Also, check with your rental car agency. Budget had a shuttle from the car return to the port. It was wonderful!!!

We stayed at the downtown Hyatt and loved it! It's connected with the Miami convention center.
