Breakfast in Jacksonville

We're headed down from Indy to Jacksonville for our 'Girl's only' cruise. We'll be driving straight thru the night and will be looking for a good place for breakfast once we hit the Jacksonville area. Would like something other than the traditional Cracker Barrel or IHOP. Maybe the hole in the wall place where the locals like to go for great food on the cheap? We have a motto that we are not allowed to eat anyplace that we have at home, must be somewhere new! Thanks in advance for any suggestions :D

How far do you want to drive? I live here but am a good 20 minutes

south of the port. I live near 3 "locally owned places" that have

WONDERFUL breakfast menus:D

Ok...:)well,...9A takes you all over the city now;)

Not sure if you have a GPS or not.

2 places near me and 1 is not...so 3 choices.

The one not near me is at the beach.

BEACH HUT CAFE 1281 South 3rd Street, Jax Beach.

Metro Diner (near me) 3302 Hendricks Ave, Jax

Truffles Cafe and Bakery 11362 San Jose Blvd, Jax

The one at the beach is more beachy;):D

I have been to all 3...they all have their own personalities.

Truffles is the most $.

I would say try the beach:) although Metro is near me and I love it there too:)

Awesome! Thank you! I've already printed this out and put in the 'cruise' folder. Not sure who will be driving yet...a couple of us have GPS and a couple don't. I'll probably mapquest them all just to have in case.

Thanks again! I probably should not be doing this now before lunch as it's making me very hungry!
