Very Strange, Cabin Assignments.

I'm booked on the Carnival Freedom in June 2009, which I booked on July 2008. Booked 2 OV GTYs and was assigned cabins very quickly. Now I checked my reservations on Carnival.com & I'm back to TBA. OK, not so strange.... I went checking other travel websites & noticed that one of the cabins I was assigned is available. Could I be getting a visit from the upgrade fairy?

Maybe. or maybe someone booked the same cruise and requested THAT specific cabin (the one that you were assigned). Therefore you were put back into the "pool" of guarantees. Either way, you will have nothing less than an OV.

You can only hope! If they are quickly selling out of a category, they may have taken you out of the stateroom in order to sell it for more than you paid. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason on upgrades...wish you luck!

You may get moved a couple of times. I have had a room change at the pier before. Thats the catch with guarantees, you don't know exactly where you'll be until you walk in the cabin.
