Any recommendations on day tours in Anchorage or Seward? We would need transportation to the airport. Our flight does not leave until 9:30 pm. We don't want to sit in the airport for ten hours.

For me it would be something in Seward, either one of the cruise tours (one company http://www.alaskatravel.com/freetrip2seward/ is offering a shuttle free with a day cuise in Seward) or one of our favorite days in Alaska is hiking the Exit Glacier area (free tours are available at the park, you can walk / hike on your own or hire a guide). http://www.nps.gov/kefj/planyourvisit/exit-glacier.htm

Seward is definately a gem, At all costs, I would suggest you consider moving your flight to the next day. Otherwise, you do realize, it is 3 hours via bus Seward/Anchorage, then you will need a two hour window at Anchorage airport on a cruise ship day. So very little time overall. I suggest you First find out what transfer would be available to you from Seward to Anchorage. THEN fit in activities. You can certainly find plenty to keep you occupied in both cities. IF you can change your departure, then by far Seward is worth an overnight and can offer you superb touring options.
