Tender at Grand Cayman

Can anyone tell me about the tender at Grand Cayman? My husband will be using a manual wheelchair, but can transfer if needed. Does anyone know how persons with mobility difficulties transfer off the boat? Are there stairs or any kind of gaps? Any information will be greatly appreciated!

Usually there are stairs off the ship to the tender and a few to get back on. They tender does bob up and down a bit so there are CM's there to kind of help you across that last step onto the tender.

Last time we went the seas wernt rough but the wind picked up just enough the waves were too much at the tender dock and we couldnt go ashore.

Tendering is very hard for people with mobility issues. Unless they can walk a few steps ok with only grabbing a railing or someones hand.

There are usually a few steps on the tender itself which are often steep.

That may be a good day to stay on board and enjoy the quiet ship, hot tub, pool, movie.

Thank you mom x4, grandma x4, that is exactly the information I was looking for! Now we know not to book any excursions. We may try anyway, depending on how my husband feels, but it is good to know what to expect. We always enjoy the ship, so I am sure we will have a good time. Thanks again!
