Snorkel recomendations

Me and the DW will be here in a few days and we want to find a good beach to relax, sun, eat and most of all SNORKEL. We have 10 hours so we don't mind going a little more out of the way. What are some good options?

Snorkeling in St. Martin isn't great - but we have had fun at Pinel Island and Creole Rock off Grand Case. For an easy shore snorkel there is a rock reef straight out from the famous Club Orient sign that has a lot of small fish - plus you don't have to get your suit wet in that area! I would also gently suggest you use the search feature on this board - you will find lots of postings in your area of interest.

Let us know what you find out. I am concerned about the silt from the new pier that's being built in St. Martin. We love snorkling too, but this trip we might stay above the water, sailing and jetskiing. I plan to ask people when I get there how the visibility is.
