Tanbella Posted March 12, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 12, 2009 Hello everyone, I have been looking everywhere for a car rental company that does not charge extra for being under 25( DBF is 24 go figure:o). If this is not possible does anyone know of a lesser charge then 30-50:eek: extra a day that most charge, or if there are any coupons to take the charge off. thanks in advance. megr1125 Posted March 12, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 12, 2009 i thought some agencies..(maybe alamo??) didn't charge extra..Hmm...i rented cars when i was under 25...but we had a family Gold AmEx card so maybe that is why i wasn't charged more..Hmmm...that was years ago though. do you have AAA???? that will get you a discount with hertz... Sherrybaby412 Posted March 12, 2009 #3 Share Posted March 12, 2009 I found this for you http://www.bnm.com/uage.htm It says that Alamo and Thrifty can help you. I did not actually look at those. Just stating what this site says. :)
JBert Posted March 12, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 12, 2009 I was in your shoes last year. Flights got messed up, ended up stranded in Orlando. Had to rent a car. We ended up getting a car from Budget, but had to pay more since we were both under 25. It has to do with liability and whatnot. I don't think there's a way around it truthfully. I think we paid $180 total for a one day rental, but we had no choice.
