I'd just like to say that I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your cruise Sarah...we were on the Sun August 07 & had the time of our lives..could not fault anything.

Re the cabin steward having a go at your Mum's weight..size 16 is not overwieght at all..are you sure he was having a shot at her..sometimes they can be a little hard to understand. I have never come across a rude cabin steward (have only cruised twice) ....they usually can't do enough for you. We wanted to take ours home with us :p:p

 

To those of you cruising on the Sun for the first time...Relax & Enjoy...I'm sure you will have a ball:D

it wasn't a cabin steward it was on of the enterment staff he was the head of bingo and she got a bongo whitch means she had to do the chicken dance in front of erveyone and when she was leaveing in the stage he mad lound footsteps sounds witch made her feel like 2 feet high

I wouldnt take it too personally.. everyone that gets a bongo feels 2 feet tall....and there is always someone..... your not the first and you most certinly wont be the last.. Im sure u had a chuckle when someone else got a bongo.. Just go with it and u will have a better time next time

I got made fun of when I got the bongo prize on the sun a couple of years back. It's nothing personal, but they should really think about what they are doing first.

Hi i cruised on the pacific sun and thought the staff were absolutely fantastic, could not pick a fault at all, nothing was ever a problem, we fell in love with our room stewards and the guys who waited our table, we even kept in contact with them after the cruise, thought the food was amazing, maybe you expected too much which caused this negative experience, its a holiday-relax!! Dyu have any idea of staff conditions (mainly foreigners) on there and how little they get paid?? Everyone i had ever spoken to re pacific sun had nothing but positives to say about the staff on board so....??? Hmmm..

Dont give up on communicating just because you find it tough it will get better the more you try:)

 

As for your cruise I am sorry you seem to have had some tough times...every cruise has its challenges..no matter how much you pay however after many years of travelling...I have learnt that my enjoyment is basically my responsibility nothing or no one would ever stop me having a good time. Some days I did absolutely nothing and loved having that as a choice.

 

Surround yourself with fun, positive people and you will have a good time anywhere.

Why would anyone humiliate themselves with this bongo dance thing, if they did not want to do......then why do? Didn't know staff were allowed to carry around GUNS pointed at people's heads :rolleyes:

 

And then to feel afterwards of being "2 foot tall"..........can't understand it really.

don't get me wrong i'm looking to go on another cruise in the new year i just a to vent i'm sorry if i upset any one but i've been to alsaka and the carrabein and mexico over the past four years and i just didn't like it as much as the other ones sorry yet agian

i'm back from my cruise form the pacific sun i dind't like it as much as the other crusies i went on the waiters were rude the food as crap and i spent most of the sea day at the casino becasue there was nothing to do most of the passeners were sick (that the sea fault) one of the staff members made fun of my mother weight and she not that big of a girl (size16) day one we went to the cabin they gave us they doubble booked us and the poeple who end up in our room paid for a outside cabin so we got and we got theres witch was good but the waiters augred with my mother when he gave my mum the wrong the they ubdercooked my brother stake and when he ask for a cook one (not in those word ) they burt it delbrat just becuase he took it back and the guy at the photo shop tried to ripp us off even when we spent $300 on photos my brother went to play air hockey the machine ate his coins and the guy told him to go to the pusser desk and the pusser told us to wait up stairs for the a guy and he waited for an hour and ask the bar staff when he comes around and they told him that he didn't come until the the casino open in 5 hours it wasn't worth the $2

so he left it but if he dind't leave it couldn't get in to casino to tell them. the waiters for dinner were the best i ever had until we gave them there tip then they were rude just because we gave them $10 on top of what they get from p&o from the cruise card they were wingeing that we gave didn't give all of our cruise card tips to them witch is $50 a head

sorry about the spelling[/quote] im sorry she or mother feft that way, but i have to say that they do that to every one who dos a bongo, itis funny but thats all it is, on the last cruise we did they added one to that after the chicken dance we had to hell looser.
