i'm back from my cruise form the pacific sun i dind't like it as much as the other crusies i went on the waiters were rude the food as crap and i spent most of the sea day at the casino becasue there was nothing to do most of the passeners were sick (that the sea fault) one of the staff members made fun of my mother weight and she not that big of a girl (size16) day one we went to the cabin they gave us they doubble booked us and the poeple who end up in our room paid for a outside cabin so we got and we got theres witch was good but the waiters augred with my mother when he gave my mum the wrong the they ubdercooked my brother stake and when he ask for a cook one (not in those word ) they burt it delbrat just becuase he took it back and the guy at the photo shop tried to ripp us off even when we spent $300 on photos my brother went to play air hockey the machine ate his coins and the guy told him to go to the pusser desk and the pusser told us to wait up stairs for the a guy and he waited for an hour and ask the bar staff when he comes around and they told him that he didn't come until the the casino open in 5 hours it wasn't worth the $2

so he left it but if he dind't leave it couldn't get in to casino to tell them. the waiters for dinner were the best i ever had until we gave them there tip then they were rude just because we gave them $10 on top of what they get from p&o from the cruise card they were wingeing that we gave didn't give all of our cruise card tips to them witch is $50 a head

Sorry to hear you didnt have a great time on your cruise, did you get off today?,can you tell me is it true that there are now atm's onboard? and that you can get mobile phone coverage 24/7 while your away?(oh i hope not,i really dont wanna hear phones ringing while im laying on a deck chair with cocktail in hand relaxing lol), anyway hope you have better luck with your next cruise,dont let a few rude people put you off, ive never encountered anything like that before, they usually bend over backwards for you,

the reason that you couldn't understand it is that i think too fast so when i start typing i've finshed the paragraph in my head so i start typing the end of the paragraph so i might of missed a cupple of words and i'm not good at english at all i failed english ervey year at school i even had to redo year 10 because of it and i quit school in year 11 becuase of my teachers called me stupid i couldn't stand it anymore so i left the teacher just didn't like me it was my choice the teachers wanted to get rid of me

Sarah...I'm sorry that your cruise didn't come up to expectations...I'm sure there were some great parts there, but it is the bad ones you remember the most.

 

Don't worry too much about the rude people on here..they are generally few and far between.

I don't think I was rude in saying I didn't understand, I didn't mean for it to sound that way. But I've been on the Sun, and yes - some things won't be perfect. All I said was to me, they seemed rather insignificant.

as much as I love my mobile phone..that worries me a bit too...I like the fact that previously I didnt have coverage and would have to wait until villa to sort out my problems I had left behind!!! (because there isa lot you can do to fix things when you are in the middle of the ocean) lol

but.. My friend Wendie got off the ship today, and I have about 100 txts from her from the past week - she gave me a weather update the whole trip.. it was great hearing from her and she was able to wave to me on the cruisecam... but I guess in answer to your question...yes..theres mobile coverage now. Lets just hope people have some phone etiquette whilst on the ship

i agree about mobile phones i think not having them on our first cruise in august 08 made it even better

my hubbie and i needed that break and we kept in contact with our kids (16 and over) via internet

i made sure before we left that they could contact us if it was an emergency

i couldnt think of anything worse if i was on a cruise and you kept hearing a mobile phone going off all i hope is if anyone wants to use them while ENJOYING a cruise they have them on silent

i can say we did not miss them (mobiles) at all

i couldnt think of anything worse than hearing mobiles going off while having such a brilliant time it would ruin my holiday for sure

Thanks for the info on the atm's, dont let what others think about you get you down, my daughter has probs with reading and writing, and she gets really upset about it, and hurt when shes bagged about it, people(not just kids) can be really cruel!!!! take what they say with a grain of salt,:)

ooops silly me,i forgot to mention thanks for the info on mobiles, mine will now be turned off and in the draw in the cabin!!! mind you 90% of my incoming calls wont happen as my kids will be with me(there will be no mom she's doing, he said, im going, can i have, ect ect lol), but i suppose there will be some onboard that will still be using them all the time:mad:

Sorry you didn't enjoy your cruise...it's very disappointing to hear of rude service. My first cruise was on the Sun and I had a wonderful time. I hope this doesn't put you off cruising altogether...you might just have to head for the five star ships!:D

Does seem to be a few posts missing,;) the couple I did read last night were a little blunt but they did have a point. (disclaimer - apologie in advance to those I will offend. Sad world we live in and so much for freedom of speech from both sides.:()

 

Sarah - I can understand your point about the brain working faster than the fingers typing, but that is why everyone should proof read (re-read) what they have typed, a missed word or even letter can change an entire meaning. :rolleyes:

 

It's a shame you had some bad experiences but do remember it is only a 3 star cruise, not like you're in a 5 star resort. I haven't been on her yet but am booked for 2 cruises this year so it's always nice to hear the good, bad and ugly of other peoples experiences. I personally will be going on with an open mind looking for relaxation and remembering this is a 3 STAR CRUISE. It's not like they advertise her or charge as if she's 5 stars.:eek:

I dont think they said heres a family we can pick on :confused:... i have not read such a bad report about this ship ever on here. what i have read has been mostly possitive reviews. no one and nothing is perfect... u take the good with the bad and i remember the good, surely to god there was some good that came out of the cruise:confused:

I'd just like to say that I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your cruise Sarah...we were on the Sun August 07 & had the time of our lives..could not fault anything.

Re the cabin steward having a go at your Mum's weight..size 16 is not overwieght at all..are you sure he was having a shot at her..sometimes they can be a little hard to understand. I have never come across a rude cabin steward (have only cruised twice) ....they usually can't do enough for you. We wanted to take ours home with us :p:p

 

To those of you cruising on the Sun for the first time...Relax & Enjoy...I'm sure you will have a ball:D
