I hope he did too. However, the Coast Guard does not charge to airlift medical patients. Private medivacs do.

Insurance isn't just for the evacuation. Insurance would also be for the treatments and diagnostics he received on board the ship to stabilze the patient while waiting 5 hours to be evacuated.

We were up sunbathing on the Verandah deck when the Coast Guard helicopter came in and airlifted the man. It definitely was a great site, but we sure hope the man is ok and doing well. Everyone clapped and cheered as the helicopter flew away.
