Question about the Sprit

no irons, in the cabins, on any NCL ship...but, no, no irons on the spirit.

if you need one, ask the stewards. they will bring you an iron/board to use.

they do have a 1st day ironing special.

If you click on "reviews" there is a great description of the cabins. It does not mention irons, but just about everything else you need to know. This will be my fifth Norweigan cruise and none of the rooms had an iron (including the owners suite on the Sky) but one was brought to me to use for a brief period when I asked the room steward. I purchased a steam iron for this trip for 20. It is for 12 days with no self laundromats. Any boat with a self laundromat will have a couple of irons in each laundromat

every cabin was one outlet that is a regular U.S. style outlet..good for laptops, charging batteries and other regular uses. but it's not strong enough for our big blowdryers. there has been mixed reviews with some people saying they used their blowdryer with no problems, other saying the blowdryer blew the power for a couple of cabins.

if you can get a dual watts/international dryer (sold at walmart) you will be better off.

if you can do a search on the NCL forum, there are many discussions with very detailed information on hairdryers + the spirit.

they don't use the same high wattage that the blowdryers use, you should be fine with those. it's just that blowdryers are sooo strong and use sooo much power. the outlets, on the spirit, weren't made for that.

but take a outlet strip with you. we had 2 sets of batteries charging and my laptop plugged in (old laptop, batteries don't hold charge for more then 1/2 hour) at the same time.

"aware" of? no...just go have a great cruise.

just watch the monitor screens, hallway around the elevators, they tell you which restaurants is available and if how fast the seating is.

the casino has a late-night, small, buffet..usually around 11:30 (?). sometime sandwiches, sometimes desserts, something chips and veggies with dips.

read the "daily" every night, it will be on our bed at turn-down. will give you information on the next day's activities, also the ports.
