imanewcruiser Posted April 7, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 7, 2009 Does anyone know about bringing your own wine / beer / alcohol on board Royal Caribbean cruises? I was on a Princess cruise last November and we had no problem bring (many) bottles of wine on board when we first got on board on in Ft Lauderdale. And no problem purchasing alcohol while in a port and bringing it on board. Despite Princess's 'official' policy, we didn't have a problem. What about on Royal Caribbean? Has anyone done this? Has anyone had their goods confiscated?
Cruise Junky Posted April 7, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 7, 2009 Royal Caribbean doesn't allow you to take any alcohol on, not even wine. Not saying you won't get away with smuggling some, but they are the only line out there that doesn't allow you to bring on wine.
techdiver Posted April 7, 2009 #3 Share Posted April 7, 2009 They've gotten pretty touchy about that of late. One trip had numerous suitcases held in one area to be opened and inspected. They had mine held for possession of suntan lotion. I'm not sure how the wine situation is at present. You used to be able to have it served at dinner for a corkage fee.
