Fitness Center hours?

Does anyone know what time the Nautica fitness center opens in the morning?

Probably 6:00 am. I do know that they are open at 6:30 am when I head up to Horizon Lounge.

It also depends on where the ship is. On port days, they assume that the majority of passengers will be off the ship and the onboard activities are curtailed. The fitness center does open early, but there wont be much in the way of classes or supervision if the ship is in port.

 

We've suggested that it might be more convenient if they opened the facilities extra early in port, closed mid day for a few hours, and then reopened in the early evening, but that is not the case now.

 

The scheduling of this type of thing (i.e doing things when the passengers want it versus when it is convenient for the staff) is one of the key differences we've noticed between Oceania and the so called "true luxury" lines.

 

It is natural, for the onboard Brass to want to accomodate their employees...... within reason.

The people who run the Spa, unfortunately, overdo the accomodating; but that may be because the staff is mostly staffed with attractive young ladies. :rolleyes:

Hey Stan and Jim, the question was when it opened. What did your reply have to do with that. It opens early. They didn't ask about anything else. Too much time to do anything else?

As a regular in the fitness center on our cruises with Oceania, I can report it opened at 6 AM. There have been a couple of occasions where the person in charge has been a few minutes late in opening but we have always been successful in tracking someone down to open the center.

Thanks everyone! 6:00 is good. We've been on a few where they don't open fitness center until 7:00 or so. The morning is half over by then! :D
