mompells Posted May 2, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 2, 2009 "Stateroom has third Pullman bed available." What is a pullman bed? Will we still have our normal queen sized bed? We are going to be in cabin 8712 (back of the ship) on IOS for the 01/17/10 sailing.
crusinmama06 Posted May 2, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 2, 2009 A pullman bed (also known as an upper on some ships) is like the top bunk on a bunk bed. The cabin attendant uses a key to unlock a bed that drops down from the ceiling. If there are only 2 in your cabin, then yes, you will have the regular queen sized bed (well two beds made into a queen sized bed) and the pullman bed will remain locked in the ceiling during your sailing. ;)

I just posted this on the other thread where you asked that question so you could see it. ;) (Thanks to christieNJ for posting this picture on here. ;) )
dallen10 Posted May 2, 2009 #5 Share Posted May 2, 2009 Are there any pictures out there like this of the OV stateroom on Majesty? My girls are sailing with us in July (in their own stateroom for three) and no idea what to expect with those teeny tiny staterooms...

It was posted on another thread asking pullmans. Scroll down in the thread until you come to post # 7 from CC just4kixx. There are pictures there of a smaller cabin and pullmans. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=978547
