RCI Jewel of the Seas Stateroom 8588

Recommended Posts

We had an end-of-hump cabin on the ninth deck of the Jewel last month...it was a GREAT cabin! Larger balcony, great views of both forward and aft. Take the hump if you can! They are very desirable cabins.

Hi,

You have all gone by now possibly and can tell me more about our choice on Jewel of Seas. We have booked 7094 (late booking) and now are looking at 8588 for Dec cruise. Like the longer deck if that is true on 7094 but not sure about being over casino (even though I will be there gambling!), just don't want to sleep with all the beeps and sirens. Only if they are for me~

The positive about 8588 is stll on bump near elevator but not as large balcony, but one floor up.

Let me know what you think you experienced cruisers. I wish I would have just taken one on deck 9 when I had a chance. Oh well. how much are you in the room anyway.

I personally would take the one on deck 8. Unless you're planning to host a large party on your balcony, you should find that one plenty large enough. I'm always leery about a cabin directly above or below a public area. On our cruise last month we had a great hump cabin on the Explorer which turned out to be directly below the Concierge Club, which I didn't think would be a problem. However, very early in the morning and very late at night we heard furniture being moved, fortunately lasting only a few minutes. I have no idea what kind of noise, if any, you would hear from the casino below. Maybe someone who has that experience can answer your question.

Thanks for your reply! Better safe than sorry I guess. Was hoping to hear from someone who had that room over the casino. Like the fact that no one is on one side of that room because of elevator which I don't think is a problem as it is enclosed.
