You're right, they don't give them for that age group. I don't know if they think they don't need them or what.

 

I guess if there was a true emergency, they would page you.

 

As it is now, I check in OFTEN with my child who is in that age group ;) She always waves me away...but I still like to check in.

 

You can rent a DECT phone onboard (Purser's Desk), they are $25. Then leave your number with them in case of emergency or if she just wants to leave. It acts like a cell phone onboard but it's programmed with the ships numbers.
