Bringing things on the ship

Is it ok to bring bottled water and soft drinks on the ship from the ports in Alaska? We were there 3 years ago and I can't remender if our bags got searched as we went back on the ship when we went to town. Thanks

Yes, bottled water and sodas are okay. They will be looking for alcohol - beer, wine, etc - and that may be taken from you depending on the cruise line.

FYI - While on a Caribbean cruise my water bottles were checked while boarding.

 

I presume they were looking for smuggled alcohol.
