Shore Excursions - Waitlists?

Just wondered if it is possible to find out how long a waitlist is and how many people there may be in front of you when signing up for a particular shore excursion on the Cruise Personalizer?

 

We are looking to do a trip from Olden, Norway. There are four departures scheduled and all are waitlisted. I have put us on the waitlist for one but am unsure as to whether I can put us on all four. Obviously, if I knew which was the shorter waitlist I would know which one we had the best chance of getting onto.

 

I also understand that if there is a demand then Princess may operate another time slot - does this often happen?

You will probably need to call your TA or Princess to find out how many are on the waitlist for a tour. I know Princess will tell you where on the waitlist you are for a cabin or for dinner. I am not sure about a tour.

Just spoke to Princess UK and they are unable to tell me how long the waitlists are.

I had a feeling that with all the cruises and excursions on them that they would not want calls like that.

As to getting on the waitlist for multiple tours, I don't see why not. You just have to be careful that you do not get more than one of them.

Yes - that was my husband's concern. I guess this is the most popular trip in Olden so we will just have to hope that all comes good in the end.

 

Will choose a back-up just in case.
