Oceanview...E78 Empress Deck

It's my first cruise...08/01/09 Inspiration. I am booked in E78 on the Empress Deck. It's an oceanview...just wondering if anyone has ever been in that room or one around it. Is it in a good location? Anyone got any pics? I am just so excited...I can't wait! Love these boards and all the great info I keep getting :D

We were in E79 (opposite side of the ship) on Fantasy. I don't have any pictures but I found these on webshots. They are of E206 on Inspiration and your cabin should look very much the same.

 

 

 

 

 

 

We were under the library so we had no noise issues from the deck above us. Looks like you might be under (or pretty close to being under) the piano bar, so your experience may be different. You are also close to the area used for embarking and disembarking at Tampa (if they use Empress Deck like they did for Fantasy in NOLA) so while that seems like a good thing, it isn't if they block off access to that area at the end of your hallway and you have to walk around your elbow to get to your thumb like we did the last morning. Other than that, it was a very convenient location.

Thanks for the help. I'm not too worried about the noise. If I am tired enough, I can sleep through anything. I just wanted to get an idea of where we were. We have a late flight after the cruise, so we will be in no hurry to get out...so it shouldn't be too big a deal.
