we are doing the aruba route w/ RCI in early October and are trying to narrow down our excursion choices...what would be a recommendation for Aruba, keeping in mind we will have our 18-month-old DD w/ us? TIA!!

When we did our cruise and hit Aruba with our then 2 yr old DD, we rented a car and drove to Baby Beach which was perfect for a small child. We will be hitting Aruba again this October on our cruise with our DD who is now 5 and our younger DD who will be just about 14 months. Again, we will be renting a car and driving to Baby Beach. After the beach we will go to Charlies Bar (which we always go to when we go to Aruba) for lunch and then take a ride around the island as much as we can considering this time we are renting a minivan.

Baby beach is a very shallow and calm beach, virtually no waves because it is protect by a large rock barrier that takes the brunt of the waves. The beach is almost like a lagoon. They rent cabana looking things and they have a bathroom, shower and a small changin area. They also have an area to get drinks and such.
