need excursion ideas/advice - AoS/Aruba route

I posted this on the POC boards, but have gotten little to no response...any ideas/suggestions/advice for excursions at Aruba, Curacao, Dominica and/or St Thomas? We will have our DD w/ us (she will be 18-months-old at the time of the cruise)...We have been to StT/StJ before, and have thoroughly enjoyed Trunk Bay. Not sure if we will mess w/ the hassle of getting there again this time, or will decide to just stay on/close to the ship and take advantage of having the ship to "ourselves" while most everyone else is out. I think we would like to do a whale watching tour (is that in Dominica?), and would love to at least be able to check out the black sand beaches (Curacao?)....Ugh, I am so confused. any input would be greatly appreciated!

With an 18 month old, I wouldn't do anything that took more than an hour or two....

And you're right---when everyone else is ashore, it's lovely on the ship!

You could wander the ports with baby in a stroller, just to get off the ship for awhile.

Get a guidebook on your ports...it will tell you all of the points of interests and if it's doable on your own, what it costs, how to get there....

Good luck!
