Shuttle service in Venice

I am looking for information about the water taxi/shuttle service Carnival prvides in Venice. A friend ask if it is free and I can't remember what I read about it from last year.

I don't know if there is a $. Two years ago there was not. I do know there was utter maddness in the evening trying to get on bus to return to ship. Pushing, shoving, people falling down, crazy. We walked but passed by the mess. Not nice. Heard from other passengers that someone had fallen and had to receive medical treatment. Hopefully Carnival has improved the process.
