Florence - Pitti Palace

Would like to visit the Pitti Palace in Florence, but will not have time for museums inside. Is it possible to walk in the grounds to view from the outside.

The front of the Palazzo can be seen from public streets. The back goes to the Boboli gardens which are a sight in themselves. For the gardens you need a ticket which is seperate from the one for the main parts of the Palazzo Pitti but does include the entrance for a few smaller museums.
