liberty of the seas - alcohol policy

Recommended Posts

No alcohol of any type may be brought aboard for personal use. You can bring on soda.

The soda package works to about $7 per day for adults (after gratuity is added). You can buy a can of soda for about $2.25. So the soda package is only worth it if you will average more than 3 sodas per day.

There is a wine package that will save you a few bucks over buying the bottles individually, but the negatives are you have a more limitted selection and sometimes people end up purchasing a larger package than they actually need (i.e. they buy a 7 bottle package, and on the last night still have 3 bottles left and end up giving it away).

Does anyone know if it is permitted to carry wine or coca cola in your checked luggage for consumption on your on balcony? Also are the drinks packages value for money or not?

Welcome to Cruise Critic!

If you pack soda, PLEASE pack it in several layers of ziploc bags and overwrapping plastic bags. Accidents can happen. The handlers are very rough with the bags.

The soda package includes only fountain sodas, and these are Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, and club soda.

If you like basic wines, the wine and dine package is a good buy. If you prefer higher-end wines, you are better off buying by the bottle in the dining room. You can take an unfinished bottle with you back to your cabin.

Which ship? Some have wine bars.

Hi

If you purchase a wine package on the first part of consecutive cruises can you you use part of it in the second week.

Unofficially, yes. They have to "close out" the first cruise, but you can ask for all of your unused bottles on the last night of your first cruise and take them back to your cabin.
