what to do close to the ship?

I am looking for advice/suggestions/recommendations for things to do close to the ship...we will be there in early October. We are travelling w/ our 18-month-old DD, and I do not plan on bringing a car seat for her, so I need to find something to do that is either w/i walking distance of the ship, or if anyone knows of any tours that would provide a car seat for the transportation...thanks so much!

This photo is taken on the (Southern, Carnival) pier at Roseau, Dominica

This view looks South, towards a large hotel that you might want to walk over to.

I've never been there, but recall one guy saying they moseyed over there and found a decent bar and stuff.

You might try that..? ;)
