want2go Posted December 27, 2004 #1 Share Posted December 27, 2004 Thanks to your posts... we booked with Sotos and had a great tour. We met them a short walk from the tender... they were waiting (independent tours get later tenders after the ship booked ones)... they drove us in a nice van to their boat. We found out later that ship booked excursions were canceled due to rough seas. Sotos gave us our 3 stops. While on the first 2 stops the current was strong... and we were constantly swimming toward the ship to keep from drifting too far away... I'm glad they gave us the stops! We all used their life vests... to help us. They had someone in the water with us as well as a line and life ring to hold on too. The smaller number on the ship probably made it easier to keep up with us in the rough water. It probably would have been a night mare on the big boats with lots of people. Stingray city didn't have the strong current... so it was very "pleasant"... although creepy and interesting also describe it. Everyone needs to experience it! We saved money and also actually got to do a full tour! GREAT JOB SOTOS!!! Thanks for all your posts!
