1st time platinum

This is our first time sailing as Platinum. We are leaving from Ft Lauderdale and was wondering where to go for the preferred check in.

Thanks in advance. :)

If you have sailed out of Port Everglades before, you probably remember where the main door is? If you go past it and around the corner (to the right of it), you will see another door there. That is where you will find the preferred check in. :) Enjoy!

This is our first time also, and we are taking the Princess transportation from the Miami airport. Will the Princess personnel also point us in the right direction when we are leaving the bus or what ever it is? We have never checked in at Port Everglades. rlb

It's our first time with the Plantinum level also but we will be leaving out of Seattle but there's more perks then just check in. As I understand, we're going to have a certain amount of computer time also but the time amount changes depending on who you listen to. I know we'll be hearing the correct amount from members of the CC. Love ya

The bus will drop you off where they collect the luggage. You will be able to see the long line to enter to the right as you are sitting on the bus. I doubt the bus drivers will know much about who boards where, they might, but I doubt it.

So, when you see the long lines outside of the big steel doors, just go to the right around the corner and look for a glass door entrance. That will be the preferred entrance and they will check your boarding pass before they allow you in (usually). If there is any problem finding it, just ask one of the staff and they will point you in the right direction. Enjoy!

The guide at the door will direct you to the door at the right, but it is easier just to walk over there. Just make sure you have a printed boarding pass.

As far as computer time, you get a credit for each Platinum member based on length of cruise. Sign up the first day and you usually get about 30 extra minutes. Log in, sign up for any package, and they credit the amout the following night. Lee, from reports here on CC, Princess is catching on to that extra internet time given to Platinum and Elite. It seems some say that many ships are no longer giving you the extra minutes unless you are actually buying internet time. They don't add it to the complimentary minutes on many ships now. At least that is what many have been reporting. :(
