Welcome to Cruise Critic and thank you for your posts! However, you have posted on the Cruise Blogs & Websites Forum where members share their personal cruise-related travelogue blogs or websites with their fellow Cruise Critic members. This is not the correct forum for your posts since they are off-topic here and a Guidelines violation. 05.gif

When you have a chance, please read the Sticky post titled What is a ROLL CALL and how do I find mine? at http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=44773.

A portion of the post states the following:

Please note, the Cruise Critic Guidelines do not allow personal ads of any kind in posts. This would include personal ads looking to share shore excursions/tours, transportation, etc. Posts of this nature are removed from all forums... with one exception. If you are sailing on a specific ship and departure date, you may post your share request on the Roll Call thread for your cruise. You are targeting the specific group of people who would be most inclined to share since they are already sailing with you. Please remember, do not start a new Roll Call thread with your share request. Use your existing Roll Call thread to post your share request.

By clicking your user name morrie above the words Cool Cruiser on your post and then Find all posts by morrie, I see you have already found your Norwegian Gem Roll Call thread titled Oct 4, 2009 Barcelona RT Mediterranean - anyone? at http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=908037. That is where you will find your fellow Cruise Critic members sailing with you for a possible share. Your Roll Call thread has a "captive audience" since everyone is sailing together! 05.gif

Now retiredfirefighter, by doing the same with your user name I see you have been posting on a different Norwegian Gem Roll Call thread titled 6 September 2009, Norwegian Gem from Barcelona at

http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=945708. Are you also sailing on the Oct 4, 2009 cruise too? If so, how wonderful for you!

To research for information about your ports of call click here http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=5 for the Ports of Call Forums list. Your fellow Cruise Critic members post their reviews/recommendations there.

To research for information from your fellow Cruise Critic members that have sailed your line, ship or itinerary before, click here http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=107 for our Norwegian Cruise Line Forum. If you are new to cruising, click here http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=97 to research our First Time Cruisers Forum. Also, you may want to click here http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=114 to research our Ask a Cruise Question Forum for even more helpful information.

Click here http://boards.cruisecritic.com/index.php for the list of all Cruise Critic message board forums and be sure to read all Announcement and Sticky threads at the top of the various forums for very important information or instructions before you post.

Please feel free to use the Search this Forum feature on all Cruise Critic message board forums with your key word or words. It will help narrow down the threads you will want to read during your research. Also, you can see if your inquiry has been asked and answered before. And it probably has... many, many times! 05.gif

Click the Search this Forum feature to open the drop down menu. Type in your key word or words then click the little Go button. I suggest you do not try a search with too many or too common of key words at one time. This will sometimes overwhelm the search feature with too many threads to scan and it will time out. From time to time, you may receive an error message that says "Search function is down". PLEASE TRY AGAIN in a few moments. This message will often pop up during the busiest times of the day. Also, be sure to read another Sticky post titled How To Perform More Detailed and Specific Searches on the Boards at http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=969846.

The following information may be helpful too:

Be sure to read our FAQ at http://boards.cruisecritic.com/faq.php, especially the Getting Started section. You will see how a new topic should be consistent with the specific forum you choose. It also gives a brief summary of the topics covered in some of the forum sections. Other important FAQ sections are Subscriptions (Receiving e-mail notification of replies to posts and threads you specify) and User Maintenance.

In the Guidelines we all agreed to follow when registering for our free membership, please note the Please Browse BEFORE You Post section since many of your questions may have been asked and answered before as mentioned above.

While doing your research, be sure you are on the correct forum. After you have browsed/researched for your topic and possibly not found an answer, word your new inquiry title so the other members scrolling through the thread titles will know exactly the information you seek. This will help the members as they scroll through the thread titles so they can reply to you. It is best to limit each inquiry to only one topic or concerning one cruise line, port of call, etc. You will get more replies that way. Be sure to mention your cruise line, ship or sail date in your inquiry if it will help the members with their answers to you.

If you wonder what some of the icons/symbols/arrows on Cruise Critic mean, just use your mouse to hover your cursor over the item and most often a tool-tip will appear with the name or action.

Also, if you ever want to locate your previous posts, click here http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=20645350 for the Sticky post titled Need help finding your previous posts?

Per the Guidelines, your posts should be removed at once due to being a share request not posted on the Roll Call thread for your ship and sail date. However, since you are both new members I closed this thread and will leave it on this forum so you can both see this reply and not wonder what happened.

I sincerely hope this will be satisfactory, even though it is not the type of reply you were expecting.

Glad to have you both aboard Cruise Critic!
