Pinnacle Snorkel in Fakarava

Has anyone done the ship's pinnacle snorkel in Fakarava? If so, how was it and would you recommend it?

My wife and I did this tour in August and enjoyed it. The ride to the pinnacle is fun if you like fast zodiacs and being bounced around. I thought it was a blast. The snorkeling was very good. You are in the water about 45 minutes. Long enough to snorkel around the pinnacle. There were a lot of fish and we got to see a three foot black tip shark. I'd do this again if we ever get back to Fakarava. There is really not much else to do. Fakarava and Rangiroa are very remote.

We found planning our days in advance was half the fun until we got there and then it was just fantastic. Enjoy your snorkeling and all the other aspects of a PG cruise. I'm trying to figure out how to get back on board in 2013 or 4.
