Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I suspect that Royal offers a shuttle bus service from the port to FLL. Your TA should be able to help with that.
  2. I just go with what I entered initially. I'm usually on the low end of the scale. Once I bid, I'm done.
  3. They are still called Fish Extenders. You might check the roll call for your sailing to see if anybody is interested in a group. TBH, Many of the people who sail on Disney aren't active here on CC. You may need to search elsewhere for a Fish Extender group.
  4. Yes, just ask your waiter nicely. They will do whatever they can to earn a good tip.
  5. The sofa bed is probably acceptable for the younger crowd. By that I mean people under 30. I don't believe any of the Concierge balconies on the Dream are enclosed.
  6. Some ships will be able to use your MB. I forget which ones. However, it's really silly since you still need your room key card for getting on/off the ship.
  7. Fortunate that a potentially life threatening condition can be moderated by a med evac. I believe that the other passengers would not begrudge them for it.
  8. I think you mean fortunately a haven for med evacs.
  9. Hope the affected passenger is recovering. Port Canaveral is a haven for dolphins and pelicans. Love sailing from there.
  10. Difficult to quantify, but for us they are not. We do regular facials/massages at Hand & Stone nearby. Their cost is significantly less that the on board prices and there's no attempt to sell product.
  11. We've always found Coastal Kitchen dress code to be the same as MDR
  12. What you heard was incorrect. We did a Sydney to Hawaii 18-night cruise (12 sea days) and the entertainment was the same standard/frequency as the more traditional 7-night round trip sailings.
  13. It's been several years now since we've done the wine tasting on board. In general wine tastings are fun events during which you may find that you like certain wines better than others. You'll probably sample 4 or 5 wines. They will be very small pours, an oz or two. Just enough for you to sip. You'll also learn how wines can compliment specific foods. Typically you sip some wine, take a bite of something (usually cheese) and sip again. The "bites" are also very small portions.
  14. "Worth" is a difficult concept to grasp in this question. What are you hoping to get and how much is it going to cost you? For me, Yes, I'd still do the cruise. The Hawaiian islands are beautiful. Add on some time at the end of the cruise to spend at least 5 days on Oahu.
  15. You don't need any extra info - your driver will just follow the signs to your ship.
