  1. Like any thing you purchase you should know the terms before you buy in writing. Honestly we've always got a refund back to the credit card we used for the purchased tour. We don't tour that much so maybe we've been lucky, and truth be told I'm never disappointed with another sea day (of course unless it was really-really something I wanted to do) but even a little disappointment I'll still enjoy the day at sea.
  2. I agree when booking on the ship, always know what you want before booking. Booking on the ship thinking you'll change it when you find what you want--just may not happen during the period granted. I like to book early myself to get the suite I want before it sells out.
  3. When we booked on board the cruise, they transfer the booking when we booked (the agency was our agency off record).
  4. Why so sarcastic....I'm just stating my personal experience and my preference. What's important to one person isn't the same for everyone. That's why we all have choices so we can make a decision how we spend are money and what cruise line we choose to cruise on. Sorry if I offended you--but thier are two sides to every story (both most likely are true).
  5. Then that would be a different problem to me---I've just never have had that happen on "O" or Regent or Silversea, I've always had the beverage of choice within a proper wait time for me.
  6. I wasn't referring to anyone else, just my opinion. I just don't need a menu as soon as I sit down, In like to give my drink order in and sit back and relax before I even consider a menu. But that's me..........
  7. I couldn't agree more, we enjoy dinner taking are time. Why hurry it--enjoy your time together over an enjoyable meal. PS: Thank you again for writing a great review of your experience on and of the ship.
  8. WEe had nice service on the Silver Spirit, not so much on the Silver Nova. I agree with you regarding the food on "O" is much better. The luncheon buffet on Silversea ships we were on really not so good, believe it or not they run out of lettuces for salad. Over all I really enjoy the buffets "O" has during lunch.
  9. Don't forget once on the ship, as you meet others ask the question--Our you happy with your TA and why. In most case's I believe like myself a few to many of us really have chosen the cruise we want and the suite before we call. Myself I e-mail my TA the information, within an hour or so it's booked with the perks I get from and the additional amenities from my TA.
  10. Hope you write about your experience. Either way have a safe travel and most enjoyable trip and cruise.
  11. True, but that's not a rule or request--it's a preference because you're cold.
  12. I thought Oceania didn't require a jacket to dine anyplace on the ship. I understand no shorts, but if you're nicely dress--slacks and shirt I don't see a problem. In fact some of those shirts can cost more than a jacket and look a lot better without a jacket.
  13. This a hard one, for us if it's really bad weather we'll stay on the ship, getting out in torrential rain in't a pleasant day for touring. We generally don't book private tours unless we also know we'll not be charged if the ship doesn't make Port. Most of the time we wait until we arrive--we can book a car or taxi on the spot.
  14. Opp's, sorry I was thinking Guaranteed -not waitressed as written. ORV is 100% right on this, my mistake for writing before I re-read the question for a 2nd time.
  15. It will depend at the time they assign suites. If you are waitlisted and they don't have PH3 available they have no choice to move you up. Remember some people cancel near the full payment date--so if enough PH3 cancel and "O" wants to assign suites you'll mostly get the PH3. It's also possible that "O" would move you up, if they have the PH3 and they want they think they can ell a lower price faster than the higher price. It's just a matter of luck--if you really want an PH1 or 2, just purchase what you really want-don't wait for a maybe and be disappointed.
