  1. Um... yup. I know. There are 2 of us in the cabin. If I were to purchase a 2 device plan under one name, and then compare it to The Key pricing - it was only $3 more pp/pd for the key. For us, the $3 works - so we bought the Key. Again - I've never seen the Key and the 2 device plan so close in price before - so we pulled the trigger.
  2. I've never bought the Key until just recently. The price for internet (multiple devices under one person) was only $3/day less than buying the Key. For us, the extra $21, or whatever, in total was worth it. Normally The Key "on Sale" is around $25/pp/pd, but we found it at ~$18 during one of the sales. Since Royal allows you to log-in and log-out , if one person wants to use multiple devices, they can.
  3. oops... totally missed the YC part 🙂
  4. Was that $1,000 total, or per person? Remember, YC comes with the drink package and internet (2 devices per person). We don't drink, and we were also in a deluxe balcony suite, but we jumped at the chance to upgrade to YC balcony suite for ~$600 per person ($1,200 total ). The onboarding, and debarkation are wonderful, and the YC lounge, restaurant, and outdoor area are to die for.
  5. We also do all inclusive resorts and find the food much better than any cruise - not just Royal. But the entertainment is x100 better on a cruise. The pool experience is x100 better at the all inclusive. Variety is nice. We vacation at both.
  6. On our sailing - there are no shore excursion options yet. Anything for your's?
  7. Just got notice on our Aug 24 sailing on the Adventure. Labadee replaced by Turks & Caicos
  8. Just my thoughts... I've purchased 3 pairs of binoculars for different reasons... Binoculars types will have two numbers with an X in between.. eg 8X42 or 10X50 or 20x80 The first number is the magnification - the higher the number the great the magnification. So, a higher number will make the object look closer. The second number is the size of the lens in mm. This is important if you want to look at daytime vs evening or night time objects. The higher the second number, the more light it lets in - giving you a better image in low light. My most used binoculars are 10X50 - these are the ones I bring on my cruises. I get a decent image at night (it's cool to see other cruise ships at sea). A word of caution.. the larger the magnification, the harder it is to hold the image still. I have to use a tripod for my 20x80 - they are huge, and heavy, and the image will shake due to the high magnification. I use my 20x80 for star gazing. My advise is get a decent 10x50 set - not too heavy, but a decent image even at night.
  9. I thought so... If the OP was looking for 0% alcohol, a de-alcoholised wine won't give you that. Just something to be aware of in case it's important.
  10. I'm not a drinker, but aren't there 2 types of "Alcohol-free" wine? 1. De-alcoholised (removed most, but not all alcohol. Typically less than 0.5% remaining) 2. Sparkling grape juice / fancy grape juice, etc - 0% alcohol - was never made with it. 3. Other??
  11. The ratio of thread views to replies is pretty high on this thread 🙂 You were all thinking the same thing. OP: I've found a good room steward very accommodating. You've got the right idea - tip them - even up front in cash, and they will do a lot for you. Especially with your condition.
  12. Apologies. Did not even fathom that this could be monetized 😉
  13. I'm just here for the comments - and you guys have not disappointed. Thank you.
  14. We board in about 10 days, and a few of the silliest questions still are unsure for me. We have YC on the Meriviglia leaving from Brooklyn in March. Luggage- We are parking at the Red Hook terminal parking lot. This is our first time at that port, and first time on MSC and (obviously) first time in YC. Normally, we drive our car to an area with luggage porters, tip them $10 and leave our bags with them, then park our car and walk into the terminal. With YC - do we just park our car in the garage, and walk our luggage with us to the YC line? Fridge Restocking- 1. We don't drink alcohol. We would like to have our fridge space better used for juices, waters, and pops, which we enjoy on vacation - do we just let our concierge or room attendant aware of our requests? Any chance there is some online form or email for these things? 2. Toblerone - I understand there will be a toblerone, but it's not restocked - one and done for the cruise. Not that we will need the extra snacks with the YC restaurant and lounge so close - but I love toblerones 🙂
