We plan to watch the Kentucky Derby race, not all the pre race coverage. We looked over the horses slated to run. DH picked Fierceness as Velazquez is the jockey and he usually roots for him. I picked Track Phantom. Weโll see! Seems the favorite is Sierra Leone. We donโt bet on much, but we have placed bets on the KD at a local OTB in the past. Are there any OTB places anymore? A number of years ago, we attended a family wedding near Louisville KY. Since it was a late afternoon wedding, we used the morning time to take a tour of Churchill Downs. It is a beautiful place. We have also gone to Belmont Park for both the big race and other times for regular races. My DHโs grandfather was a member of the Track and Field club there and he would lend us his pass to have lunch at the club and watch the races. Belmont has been changed to a casino and entertainment venue, although the race track remains. Wishing you all a winning day! MJ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ

Something strange-I went to write a new post and the post about the cactus was still in the reply spot. I thought once a post appeared on the thread, it was gone from the reply area. Not sure about this? Anyway- @Momof3gurlz A friend of mine had both hips replaced at the same time. She was early sixties then. She had a great recovery. She will tell anyone that asks the reason for the recovery was that she followed all the Drโs and PTโs directions thoroughly. It has been over ten years since the surgery and she is doing great-plays pickleball and golf. Wishing your DH great success with the surgery and aftercare. Wishing you good days too as his caregiver- hoping DH follows all your directions too!๐ @Sea Dog Just remembered about the dosage of Turmeric. Dr recommended 2,000 MGs I have read that it should not be taken in conjunction with BP medication but 2-3 hours after. I think someone else answered your question. My response is a day late and a dollar short, but hope it helps. MJ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ

@Luckynana I started a thread with a question about mask mandates. Thread is on page 2. Title is Question for Recent Passengers on a RCL Ship. My DH read something online about mask mandates. We had a discussion that I thought it was no longer the case and the info he read was outdated. To end the discussion, I went in CC for info. A poster was giving me some difficulty about me posting the question and thought I was a troll. That posterโs comments have now been deleted. Several posters from Daniโs thread wrote some good things about me and defended my posting. Just to say-one bad apple doesnโt spoil the whole bunch! Take care MJ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ

@LadyZolt I have enjoyed following your journey as I have been reading your posts and admiring your photos. It is concerning for you to have to leave the ship halfway into the adventure, but you have certainly traveled to places that some of us will never see in person. Hoping your family situation is something that can be positively resolved. Take care MJ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ

@Ocean Boy Maybe theposter got a warning, not a time out. I did notice their posts were deleted on โthatโ thread. I also could not get CC on my IPhone, but did get it on my iPad. So, not an individual problem but something with CC as a number of people experienced a glitch. It is a bright and sunny day on Eastern LI. Wishing all posting here a pleasant Saturday! MJ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ

Thank you for the update @Ocean Boy. I hadnโt gone to that thread today. Apparently, CC is monitored for posts that make negative , pointed remarks to a fellow poster on a thread.Or, someone reported the poster. I had thought about reporting that poster, but thought if I didnโt respond to anything posted by that individual, they would get the messsge and give up. Take csre MJ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ

@grapau27 Graham-I understand your situation. My DH has arthritis in his knees and back. Playing college football and rugby led to this present state. He also cannot take anti inflamatories due to compromised kidneys. He manages as best he can-some days better than others. Glad you got out to the beach. Seeing water is spirit uplifting. Our outing today is taking my car for inspection and oil change. It is a 20 minute drive from home, so we will take in the bright sunshine and flowering trees along the way. Wishing you and all who post here a pleasant day! MJ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ
