  1. Hello @Thatname Your two threads regarding the same topic have been merged into one thread. That way, all the replies will be in one place. The Cruise Critic website and message boards are both great resources for new as well as experienced cruisers and we are so glad you have posted! Please click here Cruise Critic Community for all our forum categories. I suggest you put the page link in your browser's Favorites for quick & easy access in the future. Please read a few threads in the various discussion forums to get a feel for what each forum is about. Make sure you read any pinned threads (aka stickies) on the top of the first page of threads in most forums. You will find very important instructions or information there. I also suggest you use the Follow feature on any new threads you start or any other threads or forums where you are interested in the new replies. That way you will not have to go looking to see if there are new posts because they will come l👀king for you as notifications! If you need information on how to do it, please click here: How to: Follow Topics & Forums (Subscribed Threads/Forums Info) and here: How To: Change Email Settings/Unsubscribe: Notification Settings I sincerely hope this will be helpful and glad to have you aboard Cruise Critic! Happy sails, Host Kat
  2. FYI to all reading this thread. Note my previous post in this thread: Also, here is a friendly reminder of the General section in the Guidelines we all agreed to follow when registering for our free Cruise Critic memberships: Cruise Critic's Cruise boards, as well as the information you read in our Member's Cruise Review area, and our Cruiser's Choice Awards are designed to help you obtain cruise-related information and discuss ways to make cruising more enjoyable, and perhaps even offer you a money-saving tip or two! On our Cruise Boards, this information may sometimes provided by our volunteer Community Hosts and more often by other contributors, the majority of whom use anonymous user names and are people we've never met. You have no idea who they are, what they do, or what their agenda could possibly be -- and neither do we. The only requirement for membership is a valid e-mail address. We recognize that while we have tons of great stuff in this forum, people sometimes post messages on the boards that could be misleading, deceptive, or downright wrong. They may do this unintentionally or, sad to say, intentionally. Additionally, there are many different groups who participate, such as travel agents, public relations employees, members of the media, affinity groups, fan groups, other cruise websites etc. whose agenda may not be apparent since we are operating in an anonymous environment. Treat the cruisers here the same way you'd treat anyone you'd met for the first time. This is important because anyone is welcome to participate in our community. You shouldn't make a cruise decision just because some stranger (or even an online friend) talks it up. Basically, you shouldn't treat cyberspace any differently than you would real life. The fundamental concept is that you should NOT totally rely upon the information or opinions you read. Rather, you should use what you read here as starting points for doing independent research on cruise lines, ships, hotels, shore excursions and bargain-hunting techniques. Then judge for yourself the merits of the material that has been shared in our forum. We do not guarantee the completeness of any information provided on our cruise boards. We cannot read through the thousands of messages we receive each day, but do make an effort to check out all the hyperlinked web sites. We cannot research each one for accuracy. That isn't why we're here. Staff members and our volunteers are here to provide you with an environment that is free from advertising and soliciting, free from harassment, vulgarity and disparaging statements, as well as providing you with a safe haven brought together by those sharing a mutual interest: cruising! We encourage you to utilize the reporting system built into the board system; you'll find a Report a Post icon located in the upper right hand corner of the posting. Use it! We will review the report and take appropriate action. On the other hand, we work very hard to ensure that all published reviews are coming from real people. We review every review submitted for publication to make sure that they meet our criteria and pass all of our fraud testing. Cruise Critic takes accusations of review fraud very seriously and remain vigilant in preventing fraudulent reviews from appearing on our site. If you are concerned with the authenticity of a particular published cruise review, e-mail us at community@cruisecritic.com. We'll research it and take appropriate action. Tell us the date, title of the review, and any other information that may help us with the particulars of your situation. We value your help and appreciate it when you alert us to a potentially fraudulent situation. In the end, you are responsible for your own cruising decisions. Cruise Critic will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a reader's reliance on information obtained on our forums or in any of our published member content, or in a hyperlinked area. As cyberspace continues to evolve, the freedom and openness from which we all profit can make us the target of touts, shysters, and frauds. These people could infect our forum, just as they infect other parts of the world. Please proceed with caution, do your homework, and be wary of those who post hyperlinks to strange web sites. These rules are not all-inclusive and obviously cannot encompass every situation that can possibly arise within a community of this size. Cruise Critic reserves the right to change, alter, adjust and modify these guidelines at any time. Decisions regarding how these guidelines shall be administered are the sole responsibility of Cruise Critic. Again, I sincerely hope this information will be helpful if any Cruise Critic member sees something on the boards that needs to be brought to our attention. Do not post on the thread about a post or quote the post. Just use the Report feature on the post or thread as mentioned in my previous post quoted above. The reported member will not see your report. And for potentially fraudulent reviews, send an email to community@crusiecritic.com as mentioned in the General section of the Guidelines posted above. Please send the email with requested information (which I bolded above) from your current Cruise Critic email address of record and be sure to mention your Cruise Critic user name. This is so your membership can be verified, and possible reply sent to your current Cruise Critic email address of record. If your current Cruise Critic email address of record is not correct and needs to be updated before you send your email, please click the following and follow the directions: How To: Update your Cruise Critic Email Address Remember the following also from the Guidelines: "... Discussion of the management of this community is not allowed on the forums..." "... However, we would be happy to address any concerns you have via email. Please write to the Community Manager at: community@cruisecritic.com..." "... If you have any questions or comments regarding our posting guidelines or any content found on our message boards please be sure and let me know. I'll be happy to discuss them with you. LauraS Senior Manager, Community community@cruisecritic.com ..." With over 2 million members, over 6 million monthly visitors and over 50 million opinions & reviews, we really, really, do depend on YOU for help in moderating the boards & the reviews and appreciate the help! 🙂 Host Kat
  3. Hello @Mariwind and welcome back to the Cruise Critic website & message board! I see it has been a while since you have posted. Thank you for your new thread on the Ask s Cruise Question forum! However, it is the forum for general questions regarding cruising. Your inquiry was off topic there. The Cruise Critic website and message boards are both great resources for new as well as experienced cruisers and we are so glad you are posting again! If you need information on how to do it, please click here: How to: Follow Topics & Forums (Subscribed Threads/Forums Info) and here: How To: Change Email Settings/Unsubscribe: Notification Settings To research shore excursions in the various Ports of Call, click here: Ports of Call Please remember the following portion from the Guidelines we all agreed to follow when registering for our free Cruise Critic memberships: Browse Before You Post Browse a topic first to see if your question has already been asked or answered by someone else. Also, many of the major cruise lines forums have a FAQ (Frequently Asked Question) topic that has been created by our members. Give that a try first. Browsing is your #1 best resource! Please post your messages in an appropriate topic so that you'll receive the best possible response. It is very time consuming to move misplaced messages that are in the wrong topics. Anytime you need to start a new thread on any of our various discussion forums, first make sure you are in the correct forum for your topic. Use the dark blue Start new topic button and word your new thread title in a way to help the members know exactly the information you seek. This greatly helps the members browsing through the thread titles and if they know the information, they will post replies to you. Also, it is best to limit each inquiry message to only one topic such as one cruise line, one ship, one port of call, etc. and of course, on the correct forum. You will get more replies that way. Be sure to mention the cruise line, ship, sail date or port in your inquiry message if that sort of information will help your fellow Cruise Critic members help you. If you have booked a cruise, check to see if there is an existing Cruise Critic Roll Call thread for your specific cruise line, ship and sail date. Please read What is a Roll Call? Everything you Need to Know and How To: Create A New Roll Call. For more information about our famous Roll Calls, please read the Roll Calls and Our Policy Regarding Facebook and Roll Calls sections in the Guidelines. Use the Roll Call Finder Tool at the top of the ROLL CALLS forum for your specific cruise line and ship to see if there is an existing Roll Call thread for your specific sail date. If not, feel free to start one! Just follow the directions in How To: Create A New Roll Call, especially how they are to be titled. And don't worry about any responsibilities in starting a Cruise Critic Roll Call thread. Our Roll Calls belong to all members sailing that cruise; there is no designated leader or owner. It does not matter who started the thread. Our Roll Calls are for Cruise Critic members on the same cruise. They get to know one another online before their cruise so there will be all kinds of discussion in the Roll Call thread for their cruise! If one already exists, click the Roll Call title to open the thread and read through the posts to get to know the other Cruise Critic members sailing with you. Then use the dark blue Reply to this topic button to post an introductory post about yourself. I feel sure your fellow Cruise Critic members will welcome you with replies. For more information regarding posting on our boards, please click here: How to: Reply to a Topic / Quote / Multi-Quote The specific Cruise Critic Roll Call thread for your line, ship and sail date is the ONLY place on the Cruise Critic message boards where you and your fellow Roll Call thread members may post personal ads about sharing private tours, excursions or transportation with each other to save money. There is a "captive audience" there since you are all sailing together! Your fellow Roll Call thread members may have important information posted in your Roll Call thread. Especially those that may have sailed your line, ship or itinerary before. Also, they may have already posted share requests that may interest you. If you ever need technical help in regard to using the Cruise Critic message board software, come back here to the Need Help Using the Forums? Check Here! forum. You will see a large amount of "How to..." pinned threads on the forum's first page. Also, browse through the threads in the forum looking for threads of interest. 5. @SSand1 In researching your previous posts, I noticed there were two Roll Call threads for your specific cruise line, ship and sail date. The Roll Call thread started in February where you originally posted has been merged into the already existing Roll Call thread that was started last year. It is quite large with 16 pages of posts so far. Click here for your correct Roll Call thread for your cruise now that they have been merged: January 21, 2025 - Buenos Aires RT including Antarctica Happy sails, Host Kat
