JohninDC Posted May 16, 2011 #3 Share Posted May 16, 2011 If you do a search of the FLA boards you will find several mixed reviews for Premier and other parking services in Miami. Some loved it and others hated it - there does not seem to be much in between ground? Parking anywhere in downtown Miami or Miami Beach is expensive, with most hotels charging $25-30+/day for parking on top of the room rate. Not sure about Premier, but there are parking operators who don't own a lot but instead lease a space to you in whatever close by lot offers them the best deal -- their profit is the difference between what you pay and what the lot charges them. Service in this situation varies from great to ugly. :( Parking at POM costs $20/day and is convenient, covered and secure. Parking anywhere else in Miami is not as convenient, may not be covered, and will not be as secure. If you are looking for hotels offering cruise parking deals, try www.parksleepfly.com but almost all will be out near MIA. If a shuttle is not part of the deal both ways (it usually isn't), plan on spending $50-60 for round trip cab fare to POM and then back to your car. Good luck! :)
graced1000 Posted July 26, 2011 #4 Share Posted July 26, 2011 You get what you pay for - $7 per day is great but next time I will pay the $20 per day for parking and forget about the hassle of waiting 1 hour for a shuttle. I just came off a cruise yesterday morning (tired and needing to get home) and waited so long for the Premier Parking shuttle bus that we ended up taking a cab to get our cars. The drop off was just as eventful - we waited over 1 hour at the garage for the driver of the shuttle bus to come and open the gate for us to park. They already have you on the hook because you have already prepaid for parking so you end up waiting. What is so hard when you know the times that the cruise ships have docked and the passengers are starting to disembark? Why cant they have enough shuttles available for transport? 2flacruisers Posted February 9, 2012 #5 Share Posted February 9, 2012 We used Global Airport Parking, aka Premier. Their parking was in a secure, gated garage. Shuttle was waiting for us when we parked, and was there within 10 minutes at the port when we returned. We plan to use them again in January next year.
