jeffbrig Posted May 13, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2011 Okay not quite cruise related....DW and I are staying in Key West for a couple of nights next weekend, and wanted to try something we haven't done before. We ruled out the Dry Tortugas this time (it's a short trip), but Danger Charters has a sail/snorkel/kayak trip that sounds like a lot of fun. Anyone here gone out with them before? Aquahound Posted May 14, 2011 #2 Share Posted May 14, 2011 I have never tried them, but for what it's worth, I haven't really heard anything bad about them. I usually do hear about the bad ones, and this name has not come up.
jaga04 Posted May 14, 2011 #3 Share Posted May 14, 2011 This is another FWIW comment: I've also never gone out with them, but someone did recommend the trip to me.

jeffbrig Posted May 27, 2011 Author #5 Share Posted May 27, 2011 We're back from our 3 day weekend in paradise! The Danger Charters full day trip was a lot of fun. We really enjoyed taking the kayaks through the mangrove islands - very cool experience. The snorkel spot we went to was more sponge than reef, but that location was dictated by the prevailing winds and conditions. Still saw plenty of fish, some nice lobsters (season opens in another month), even a Moray eel. To their credit, Danger doesn't make you wear a big yellow BC while snorkeling. Probably not a big deal to most, but for an experience snorkeler who likes to free dive, it's annoying. Nice day on the water, I'd recommend it to anyone.
