London Pre-Theatre Dinner?

Recommended Posts

You could try one of the Côte chain of French bistro style restaurants for a reasonably priced pre-theatre meal; 2 courses for £11.70, 3 courses for £13.65.

I have eaten in their St Martin's Lane and Tavistock Street restaurants before going to nearby theatres and enjoyed both occasions. Next week I will be trying their St Paul's branch before crossing the river to Shakespeare's Globe.

Good suggestion from Dermot. If your budget is a little higher, you can get some good deals (set menu, very often) from some of Soho's better restaurants - look at Hix, Quo Vadis, Arbutus, or even the Ivy (will need to book in advance) for example.

The West End theatres are scattered over quite a wide area, so be aware of how far you have to walk between dinner and your theatre.
