Jacksonville Transportation

Looking to book the Fascination departing 10/9. Looking for information from anyone familiar with this port. I would like to know approximate distance and time it takes to get from the Port of Jacksonville to the airport. Looking to fly out on day of debarkation at 11:30 a.m. I don't know if I would be allowing ample time if debarkation didn't run smoothly. Also input would be appreciated with regard to transportation options form airport/pier and vice versa(i.e., taxi, private shuttle service, etc.). I prefer not to book Carnival's airport transfers. The past two times, we literally almost missed our flights waiting for the transfer bus to fill-up. Thanks - any and all information about this port will be greatly appreciated. It will be a new port for me, and I don't know what to expect.

The airport and the port are not very far apart; travel time 20-30 minutes. I don't know the cost but a taxi would be the fastest.

We have reservations on the Fascination for Thanksgiving - taking our kids and their families. We will drive to JAXPORT from the Fla Panhandle, but the kids are flying back home after the cruise from JAX. One is departing at 1130 and the other about 1400.

The JAX airport is 11 miles (22min according to Earthlink!) from the port. So an 1130 depart is just fine.

The airport is about 15-20 minutes from the port. I used Luxury Transportation. They were very professional in their handling of my reservation with a confirmation email within minutes of phone call. The driver was courteous, friendly and on time (waiting when I got off ship). Very nice Town car. Added to a great cruise. Would recommend and will use them again.
