  1. Our family likewise sailed Bremerhaven > New York on sister ship S.S. America during the early 60's when my father was transferred stateside.
  2. Yeah, but Carnival's warm chocolate melting cake tho..........
  3. I did not receive any of the cruise line offers. I called Amex and they said they could not add offers that were not automatically assigned to me. 😞
  4. Sniff. Sniff. Not on my card. Will check back in a few days to see if it's been added. BobK/Orlando
  5. I believe Celelstyal Crystal has been removed from their fleet. If so, the ship's floor plans are a moot point. BobK/Orlando
  6. In case you haven't seen it, Celestyal is running a $699pp introductory price aboard Celestyal Experience on many of their 2021 sailings. This is for their 7-nt Aegean and Three Continents cruises and like all their prices, includes taxes and port charges, gratuities, drink package, some excursions, etc. Please note that this price gets you an inside cabin on Deck 4 only; other locations are priced higher. This is a huge bargain IMO.
  7. We were on the final sailing of Celestyal Crystal this past March when they shut down after our sailing due to covid19. First of all, the ship was small and pretty worn out. She was old. That said, I was hugely impressed with Celestyal. We could not have had a nicer more accommodating crew who were equally disappointed that they were being sent home. Celestyal did not short cut on anything and am about to rebook the same itinerary on the new ship. I really recommend them!
  8. OK, that's a possibility and makes sense. I am so hoping CDC ends the No Sail order and allows cruises to begin again in November! We should know pretty soon. Thanks for checking.
  9. Has anyone else noticed that MSC cruises out of Port Canaveral for this November no longer appear on the MSC website nor on on-line agency websites? Did the November sailings on Seaside get cancelled? BobK/Orlando
  10. I was waiting for a refund too and happened to log into my Reservation Number from the cancelled cruise and found out I was rebooked on a different cruise under that same res number. So first I recommend you go to mscruisesusa.com and log in with your original reservation number and see what shows up. Second would be to open a dispute with your credit card company, assuming they cancelled your cruise, not you.
  11. The protocols that CLIA submitted to the CDC yesterday to allow for cruising to begin again stated that member cruise lines would start with short cruises. I took that to mean the 3/4 night cruises. If the CDC lifts the No Sail order, they will expect the cruise lines to abide by their protocols meaning all of us now booked on 7 night cruises in November and December (if not longer) will not be taking 7-nt cruises.
  12. I was booked on a 5-nt Armonia sailing out of Tampa and was automatically moved to a 7-nt Seaside sailing out of Port Canaveral. My price was protected. I repriced it booking anew and it came out about $400 more than what they gave me so I'll keep what they gave me. Since I live in Orlando, either port works for me. The payment screen indicates that final payment is due now but there is no actual due date so I'm holding off to see if CDC extends the "no sail" order again or are finally going to allow cruises to begin again. BobK/Orlando
  13. I'd be surprised if Grand Classica ever returns. It's been "away" for long before the covid-19 pandemic hit and it's now not returning until March. If you look at the pricing on Grand Classica for 2-nt cruises, it's not even competitive. It's like they're trying to discourage anyone booking on her. BobK/Orlando
  14. Even though I've got some future cruise credits on several different lines, I'm not booking ANYTHING until cruises start sailing again. There's just been too many cancellations to trust current reopening dates and some of the restart attempts in northern Europe show that they don't seem to know what they're doing.
