Golf in St. Martin?

We will be in St. Martin on Summit next spring and the 2 men were looking to play golf while we wives went shopping.

Can anyone recommend a golf resort/course they could play at during the day? Haven't seen anything recent on this board.

I saw people with golf carts and pulling their clubs while golfing at Mullet bay when I was there yesterday. Its not the best golf course but I am not aware of any other in the island.

karysa is correct, the only option for golf on St. Maarten is the course of the old Mullet Bay Resort.

It is still alive and kicking, though the condition of the course depends entirely on the rain just prior to your visit, as the course is not irrigated.

The St. Maarten Golf Association appears to have abandonded their website, but still have a Facebook Page.

If they wanted a better course they would have to get over to Anguilla, a day trip that I really don't recommend for cruisers, especially golfers.

p.s. Last I heard I think it was $100 to play the course.
