NCL embarkation check-in time in Boston?

We are sailing on the Dawn from Boston on Friday, and when we registered earlier today we were assigned a time to check in at the pier. We usually arrive early and have lunch on the ship, but the time we were assigned was 1:30. If we arrive around 11:00, will they hold us or allow us to check in? We did this same cruise last year and didn't have an assigned time!

NCL, like other cruise lines, is attempting to spread boarding times out to avoid crowds. The time is a "suggestion" and not etched in stone. If you arrive around 11: and drop off your checked luggage, you can enter the terminal and begin the boarding process - as long as the ship is ready for passengers - check in, do the security check, then onto the ship and enjoy lunch.
