wangeling gal Posted July 8, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 8, 2015 Can you share what experiences you have had in this port please - what you did and saw and local guide recommendations? We will be there from 8am - 11pm. Thanks. Hi little Britain, Kochi is wonderful. When there in 2013 I organised a tour with cochinmagic.com It was a personalised tour of what I wAnted to see. I wrote to them, gave them my list and asked for their price and itinerary. They suggested I put an invitation on my roll call and I got 3 other couples to join us on a fabulous day out. My wish list was - Chinese fishing nets and wLk around old kochi A spice market A normal food/produce market St Francis church A toilet stop at a gorgeous little shop - which wasn't on the list but a necessacity at the time and a lovely and welcome surprise. We then went on a houseboat lunch tour of the Kerala backwaters at Allenpy. It was a fabulous day. When dealing with this company they are Very efficient - abruptly so. If you are the main organiser only you can change the details of the day. Honest, well run. They deal with all the payments from the other guests - you just give them the guests names and get the others to contact them. Have a look at their website and see if it agrees with you. This is a gorgeous part of India. Was reminded of the Jungle Book as we floated around the beautiful back waters of Kerala. Have a great time
