Bumpy boat ride over to little french key?

We are considering little french key after having to cancel a different snorkel tour in roatan. Our daughter recently fractured vertebra in her spine while rock climbing. The bouncing up and down on a boat would be bad. What is the short boat ride like over to little french key? We will probably just do tabyana beach break to be safe and get good beach/snorkel time, but have heard such great things about LFK I just want to know if it's an option.

TIA!

I have attached a picture that allows you to appreciate how close Little French Key and Big French Key are to the main island.

(This picture is a few years old, but the islands haven't moved :) )

It's a very short ride, and the sea around these islands is usually flat.

It is NOT a bumpy ride at all...as a matter of fact, they use a barge type of boat instead of a regular boat to transport people. So pretty much smooth.

They have several different ones they use, but you get the point.

From that picture, it looks like a big step up to the pier or down onto the barge. Do they have a ramp or something to bridge the gap?

Hmm, it must be the perspective that the picture was taken and the distance of the boat coming in because there wasn't a step.

Here's another picture of it pulled up against the dock. It's even.
