NCL Chacchoben excursion

I know we want to do the NCL Chacchoben ruins excursion. Not sure if I want the one with the beach included. Does anyone know which beach they go to? The reviews of the beach part of the excursion are not good. Is there time to do a beach on our own after the excursion? Thanks.

i think we are going to to this ruin tour with a private vendor, then if we feel up to it, (and if we have enough time) just grabbing a cab over to the beach for the last couple hours on our own.

I think that's what we are going to do too.

We decided to book our excursion to see the Chacchoben ruins with Native Choices Mayan Experience Tour instead of with NCL. With ours we are forgoing the beach on this excursion and will also be visiting Chacchoben Village and enjoying an authentic meal as well with Native Choice and for less money.

We haven't been to any of the beaches but are thinking of trying Yaya Beach Club.
