From the 949 Posted October 16, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 16, 2016 We'll be in Manzanillo in January. We've never been to Manzanillo and was wondering about day passes at hotels. Most information on here is several years old and a lot can change in that time. We're currently looking at Karmina, Las Hadas and Tesoro. I wouldn't mind just going to a beach but the rest of the family wants a beach and pool. Thanks!

andio2of5 Posted October 20, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 20, 2016 We did a ships Beach Resort tour last year in Manzanillo and ended up at Las Hadas. For our trip this year, I wanted to just catch a taxi and get there on our own so have spent weeks trying to find a contact person for info. I finally was successful and the following is what I received: Dear Mrs. Jackson: I´m sending you an attached file with all the information about what includes our Day Pass and the price of it. You don´t need to schedule your Day Pass, in the moment you want it, you can come to our Lobby and request it. We appreciate your preference and hope to enjoy your visit soon. Regards. From the 949 Posted October 21, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted October 21, 2016 Thank you, andio2of5, for the Las Hadas information. I contacted the Barcelo Karmina and they emailed me this information: Thank You for your email, The cost of the Day Pass are: From: 9 am to 5 pm $ 850.00 MXN ($54.00 USD) From: 6 pm to 2 am $ 850.00 MXN ($54.00 USD) From: 9 am to 2 am $1,050.00 MXN ($66.00 USD) Includes: meals, alcoholic drinks and facilities use. Do not need to reserve, just pay directly at the Front Desk. We are no selling Day Passes for December 17 2016 to January 05 2017. Have a nice day! Erika Ocampo Gerente de Reservaciones Barceló Karmina Av. In her last sentence, I'm not sure if she meant they are "now" selling or "not" selling day passes. But I did give her the date we'll be there and it's on 1/4/17. I'll need to confirm with her about this. My next question is, what resort is nicer? I know Las Hadas is older but that doesn't mean the Karmina is better. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you! From the 949 Posted October 25, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted October 25, 2016 I got another email from the Karmina and they confirmed they are NOT selling day passes between December 17, 2016 through January 5, 2017. I'm going to email Las Hadas and see if they have the same blackout during the same time period.
