Rhone River levels in April

I did the Rhone Saone the last week of March. Got a good deal that was hard to pass up. We were hesitant about the weather and water levels. We had a great time. The water level was good. We sailed the entire route. It was also nice since there were not that many ships at that time of year. Weather was good for touring. Be prepared for all types of weather. We wore shorts in Avignon and Arles. In Viviers, we froze. Even saw some snow flurries. I dressed in layers, and wore hats/gloves. I preferred that time of year when nothing was crowded. Early spring is a good time for that cruise. Many cruise lines offer great deals to get bookings.

We will be travelling with GCT on the 46 passenger m/s Provence which is a relatively small ship, with only 3 decks including the sun deck. I wonder if this ship would do better in a high water situation than the larger/taller ships with 4 decks?
