Beach close to port

Is there a beach close to port in St. Thomas? Wanting to do things close to port. We will be on Carnival Magic. Thanks for any info.

Grab a cab to Morning Star beach by the Marriot. Only 10 min from port. Marriot has chairs you can rent or just use as no one ever checks the chairs.

smarks is on Carnival, which will dock at Havensight. The closest beach is Morning Star. sunshine, you seem to be on Royal Caribbean, docking at Crown Bay, closest beach is Lindbergh...

Is the Morning Star Beach open to the public ONLY by the Marriott in St. Thomas, or can we just drive/walk there or go onto the beach? I don't want to go there, and be kicked off, that is why I am asking if there is fee to get on this beach, etc.?

You can drive there or take a cab. You will have to pay for chairs, if you want, but you can sit on a towel for free. There are a couple of bars and restaurants for your libations and lunch.

So would we be able to walk to Morningstar Beach from our dock? I am older, but do a lot of walking, and walking does not bother me, or do we need a cab? If so, can you give me an idea of the cost for a 10 minute drive, I believe you said?

It is not safe to walk to Morning Star from Havensight. The road is narrow and twisty. Drivers do not look for pedestrians. You will need to take a taxi.

Lindbergh beach was fantastic.

Thanks for letting me know we should take a Taxi to Morningstar beach. Do you have any idea what the cost is one direction?
