Barcelona Hop on Hop off bus

Both go roughly to the same places albeit in a different order. I have used the blue bus and have been very satisfied. Others like the red bus. If you are just going to ride around, it probably does not matter. Otherwise, try figuring out what you want to see, where you will get on and which route is more efficient for you. Enjoy!

... it's best not to "colour" the buses because they've changed over time, they've even shared similar colours for sometime. The companies are BarcelonaCityTour and BusTurístic. These days the first company looks like this and the second company like this. As mentioned both offer similar routes, price-wise are also similar and service-wise too.

I think for most people, if you're just in Barcelona for a port stop (so probably not even one full day), it doesn't make much difference which company you choose. One thing is certain, that whichever one you end up committing to, for the rest of the day every time you are at a bus stop waiting for your bus, 4 or 5 buses from the other company will go by first. :D

Seriously, I would take whichever one is cheaper (it depends on what kinds of discount you qualify for, and sometimes you can find cheaper prices by purchasing through other vendors).

Assuming that your ship docks at Moll Adossat (terminals ABCD), neither company has a stop near the ship. You have to take the shuttle bus to the Columbus statue, and both companies have a stop right there. If there are big crowds waiting, there is another stop not too far away, at the World Trade Center (the middle stop for the cable car).
