Water transport from San Zaccharia into cruise terminal

Has anyone advice on best water transport from this stop near St Marks square to the NCL cruise terminal. We will be boarding on Regata Storica day, so need to get on board lunchtime to avoid crowds and Grand Canal closure. There will be 4 of us, each with large case and cabin size bag. Any advice welcome and costs if you have them please.

On a normal day a private water taxi would be about €80 - €100, expensive but not so hard to swallow when divided by four.

I would reach out to Alilaguna to find out about their service that day and to your hotel to find out about private water taxis.

Are you sailing Saturday or Sunday? On Sunday, the regatta is betwen San Marco and the train station. San Zaccharia is past San Marco and not in the regatta zone. From San Zaccharia the water taxi can take you to the terminal along the Canal de la Giudecca instead of the Grand Canal.

Be sure to verify before assuming these services will be available. I tried a dummy booking for a water taxi and it would not make a reservation for Saturday or Sunday that weekend, owing to a local event (the regata).

Good point. For a taxi, the hotel might help book it. Also check the Alilaguna and vaporetti schedules.
